Are you crystal clear about your life and biz goals? When I look back at the clients I have coached over the years, clarity is often a sore spot. When I ask, What are your goals? often people do not know or they have a vague sense of a goal- something like- I want more success in my business.
When looking at the art of manifesting, one of the first key questions is: What do you want? so, why is this question so hard to answer? We naturally resist clarity. It is one of the most common aspects of resistance for all people. Whatever we resist, there is a payoff for that resistance or we wouldn’t keep doing it.
What could possibly be the payoff be for being unclear about our goals? When we are not clear, we don’t have to do anything. We can stay the same because, how can you take action around something unclear?
You would not start driving your car if you did not know your destination.
When you become clear, you risk having to take action and also risk failing or even succeeding. Lack of clarity can really be related to fear of failure, fear of success, fear of being seen, fear of change, etc. It provides a beautiful distraction to what is really going on.
Try these affirmations: “It is safe to be clear. I invite clarity. I look forward to being clear. Being clear is the next step to manifesting what I truly want. It is safe for me to get what I want. It is safe to be successful. It is safe to be me. It is safe for me to own a successful business. I am safe right now. It is safe for me to change.”
You can even use *tapping technique (ad) (you gently tap with your fingers on the points demonstrated in the chart below) while you say these affirmations. It doesn’t matter if you go through all of the tapping points. You could just stay on your cheekbone or eyebrow. Repeat the statements. Notice how you feel before you start and after you finish. You can tap as long as you want until you feel an energetic shift.
Here are the tapping points:
After you release the idea that being clear is not safe, you may find that you do start to have clarity on your goals. Once you become clear, you will then decide on action steps which often brings up another issue.
When you think about your business, what have you been putting off doing? Procrastination can actually be related to the way your mind protects you from perceived danger or feeling unsafe. You can stop beating yourself up for procrastinating and instead honor yourself for the great job you have been doing to protect yourself.
Here is the thing, we don’t realize that we are procrastinating to protect ourselves. When you see that underneath the behavior is a belief that it is somehow not safe to proceed, you can do the work to clear that feeling that it is not safe and ta-dah, the procrastinating often resolves itself. Sometimes just noticing the belief is enough to let it go and you can, of course, use tapping to clear the belief.
Procrastination has an extremely high cost. It often costs people time, money, dreams, and more. Take a couple of minutes and write down everything you are procrastinating on- small and big. Don’t add any blame or guilt, just bring it into the light. Just creating the list is a powerful step. As you look at the list, choose one inspired action step and take it immediately. A small step forward is better than no steps and no action.
If you could stop procrastinating and take those inspired action steps, would it make a difference?

Hi Sheri
Being clear is a blessing. Wow… procrastination is a way of protecting myself. A thought I will ponder and let go.
Taking action and trusting it’s safe 🙂
Thank you
