Relax, all is well. Do you feel relaxed right now? If not, what are you feeling? As a biz person, you can end up on auto-pilot. There is so much to do; and you know it is up to you to make it happen. In the fast paced life you lead, feelings get pushed and squashed down, until it’s almost unavoidable to have some pent up emotion trickle out in a way that you don’t like.
It’s worth it to find your method for relaxing and getting to the place of “all is well”. Your feelings are a barometer for what is going with you and your business responds to your feelings as well. You may have noticed that when you are at the height of stress, signing a new client is almost impossible. In fact, new opportunities tend to dry up when an individual is stressed and worried.
When you allow yourself to have moments of peace and quiet; time to reflect, and time to have fun, your business responds positively.
I was talking to one stressed out coach, and I said, “If you told a client, ‘I am going to help you work 80 hour weeks, sleep less than 6 hours, and work for very little money for the time you put in.’ How do you think that would go over?
I could almost hear this person blinking over the phone as she said, “Well, who would sign up for that?”
So what are you modeling? When I live my daily life, in the back of my mind, I am always thinking, would my clients want my lifestyle? If I want to help people relax into making money in their businesses, I need to model that in my own life. This is one reason why I took 7 vacations this year and had quite a bit of fun. I know my clients want balance, and I love having balance in my own life.
I love my work, but I also value my individuality, my family, and my sense of peace.
What helps you relax? What is one thing you could incorporate into your daily schedule?
One of the ways that I stay relaxed is that I wrote poems. Here is one of my favorite winter poems:
