Day 3 of the 12 Days of Joy

How to Cultivate the Art of Abundance

The Holiday Season feels abundant. The music is about joy, love, family, togetherness, and fun. People are feeling generous. Parties and gifts are everywhere. Not a day seems to go by without an example of lavishness. I love the sparkling decorations and bright colors. I adore the sweet treats and carefully prepared food. The beautifully wrapped gifts waiting to be opened sparks curiosity and anticipation.

However, the Holiday Season can also create a stark contrast to your reality. What if 2019 felt like a struggle? Or What if you had an unexpected, very expensive health crisis (this happened to me in 2015)? What if you feel disappointed with your results in your job or business?

What if you want to feel abundant and you don’t?

What if you want to experience achieving an elusive long-held goal?

Let’s first look at what abundance is. Of course, most people think of money and that is definitely part of it. Abundance also includes friendships, relationships, health, happiness, fulfillment, inner peace, and feeling like you make a difference (feel free to add a few more of your own ideas here).

The quickest way to abundance is to create the feeling of having it. But how do you create a feeling of having it when you haven’t experienced it yet? When you think about a goal, it is tempting to go right into the “how to”, however, you will create alignment and increase your energy vibration/frequency if you concentrate and focus on how it will feel to achieve it.

If your goal is to run a marathon, concentrate and create the feeling of crossing the finish line. If your dream is to sail around the world, imagine the sunshine, the wind, and the freedom of doing it. When you create the feeling, the logistics of doing it show up in your life.

Even if you intellectually don’t know the feeling because you haven’t done it yet, you can open yourself up to the feeling by preparing. Prepare yourself for this feeling by moving to the highest frequency feelings of love, joy, and gratitude. If you have a difficult time with love and joy, gratitude will get you there. When you feel intense appreciation, it is like a springboard into love and joy.

You can also move into love and joy by doing a heart coherence meditation, where you move through each energy center of your body and when you get to the energy center above your head, this is where your spirituality merges with Universal creation.

Here is a 14-minute meditation below- that I love for creating heart coherence and lining up with abundance based on Dr. Joe Dispenza’s teaching

Once you feel love and joy, then visualize your abundance. See yourself merged with your highest goals and dreams. Learn the feeling of this and you can return to that feeling anytime throughout the day.

Don’t attach to the path because there are many paths. Attach to the feeling you create of doing or having it already.

When you focus on the feeling, you allow many different options for getting there. Don’t create rules and musts and shoulds around the how-to of your goals and dreams. However, it is human nature to get attached and often, we get so attached that we squeeze the life out of the dream. Almost everyone asks me, “How do I let go of attachment?” Attachment is a powerful feeling and one that creates struggle and resistance, so I created an audio with emotional freedom technique for you to help you lift attachment to the how to’s.

When you create the feeling of publishing a book, landing an acting role, buying your dream home, taking a dream trip, finding the love of your life, or whatever else is on your vision board, you can enhance the power of feeling it through deepening your trust that it is all working out.

Below are beautiful affirmations from one of my favorite authors:

“I am one with the Power that created me. I am totally open and receptive to the abundant flow of prosperity that the Universe offers. All my needs and desires are met before I even ask. I am Divinely guided and protected, and I make choices that are beneficial for me. I rejoice in other’s successes, knowing there is plenty for us all.”  Louise Hay

When you practice feeling your abundance (on your terms- abundance is how you define it, not how someone else defines it), begin to look for paths, methods, and opportunities that align. If you get an inspiration to call someone, do it. If you feel led to an action, try it. It’s a grand adventure when you choose to perceive it that way.

The more you feel your life the way you dream it to be, the faster you will manifest and even be able to instantly manifest your goals and dreams a lot of the time or at least shorten or even greatly reduce the timeline.

A practical way to feel abundance is to journal like it already happened by writing in past tense. My clients have been doing this for years. E.G. I finished my book. I bought the cruise. I hit 7 figures in my biz. I finished my ezine. I wrote the blog. I held the meeting and the result was YES. etc. etc.

You can even just go one day into the future. Use tomorrow’s date in your journal, and write down everything that you wanted to happen today like it already happened. As soon as you do that, you will feel like taking some action.

See yourself as a master of the art of abundance.

  1. Thank you. I needed to read this today. Reminded me that, while my job search isn’t going as fast as I’d like, I am abundant in friends.
