The Hardest Part is Starting
Fall is my favorite time of the year. My thoughts turn to back to school, pumpkin pie, Halloween, hot cocoa, hot apple cider, pumpkin spice lattes, gorgeous landscapes, cooler nights, comfy blankets, football, and yummy homemade hot soups. Fall has always been a time for education and training for me, too. I think about the rest of the year for my biz and start to think about some ideas for the next year. I get a huge burst of energy in the Fall. How about you?
During the past eleven years of coaching business owners, I have found that the hardest part of any task, project, or goal is just starting.
Most of the procrastination that people experience centers around getting started. Once you start, you create momentum. Momentum leads to completion, success, and accomplishment.
One way to get started is by getting a nudge forward by someone else. You could enlist an accountability partner or coach to give that beginning boost forward.
Here is what could happen.
How about a sales page, a thank you page, leadpages, instant teleseminar, facebook pixels, google analytics, a custom script for your free strategy session, an application for your free strategy session, jot forms, fixing copy on four opt-in pages, fixing four opt-in forms, setting up an amazon associates affiliate account, fixing WordPress pages, setting up an e-course resources page, nailing down priorities, practicing mindset activities, practicing energy exercises, and more? This is what I did with one of my VIP clients.
She flew into Denver and we worked together in an executive suite at the Marriott for 16 hours over a Saturday and Sunday and accomplished all of the above and more. Plus we included lots of fun, going into the mountains for some site seeing and dinners. She even came to my son’s Friday night high school football game.
When she was leaving, she said that she was six months ahead in her business and so much more confident in her systems, processes, and priorities. I had a blast too. I love when I am doing my “jam”. The time flew as we were fully immersed in her biz. I love being in the flow and creating. I love working with people who love helping other people.
She was ready for a huge transformation in her biz and our weekend together was exactly what she needed.
Have you thought about your own transformation?
What would it take for you to feel six months ahead in what you are currently working on?
What would feel like a huge relief?
Make a list of everything that is top of mind. Then consider what it would feel like if you got most of it done.
If you would like to talk to me about a VIP day or days, I would love to discuss it, reach out to me through my contact page. To give you an idea on pricing, an 8 hour VIP day is $2500.
Whether you book a VIP day or not, make a list of your highest priority items and get started on them.
Starting is the most important. Many ideas remain just that- ideas. (ad) Starting is the hardest part. Once you start, it is easier to keep the momentum going.
