Frankly, this surprised me

I have been home from my New Year’s trip to Cozumel, Mexico for about a week (if you are going, be sure to get your waterproof dive map for one of the best dive and snorkeling destinations).  I am sharing a pic above of one the spectacular sunsets at our resort. It definitely was a jolt back to reality when I walked in my house on January 5th and I admit,  I still had two Christmas trees up in my house. Yes, I took off all the decorations, but I still had the trees up with the lights. The other  at dinner with the family, I plugged in the tree lights. I thought, since they were still up;  I might as well enjoy the lights. I even thought about leaving them up until next year, but my family vetoed that idea. What can I say? I love the Holidays. I do love the start of a New Year, too. It’s a chance to review, reset, recharge, and reconnect with what I want to do in my life.  I don’t make “resolutions” but I do create solid plans.

I’ve been talking to several people and I’m surprised at the sheer number who have not done any or have done very little planning for 2017. If you feel like you would like to be better at planning, check this out

Based on my conversations with people, some mindset blocks to planning are:  It’s boring. It’s difficult. I am not good at planning things.  What if I plan and then nothing works out? I am not a structured person. I don’t have time to plan. I already have a general idea of what I want to do, so why do I need to plan…

If you haven’t made plans, or you would like to review and refine your plans. You are in the right place.
